Participants will gain an understanding of applying real-world problems and challenges through the characteristics of project-based learning. Meaningful assessment and ideas for classroom management will be investigated. Available for grades K–5 and 6–12

Flexible Online Learning for Busy Educators

The Endeavor Online STEM Certificate Program offers educators a variety of scheduling options in an interactive online learning environment. All courses are offered as credit or non-credit on a tri-semester schedule of spring, summer, and fall.

Graduate Credit Sample Course of Study

Participants take two required Endeavor courses and any three electives. It is expected that full-time educators will complete the five courses within 18 months to earn their Certificate in STEM Education and receive their 15 graduate credits.

  • Methods of STEM Education (required)
  • The "E" in STEM: Meaningful Content for Engineering (elective)
  • Lessons from the Ocean: Science on the Water Planet (elective)
  • Physical Science in Motion: Classroom Applications (elective)
  • Action Research in the STEM Classroom (required): Action Research allows educators to implement a classroom study to determine if and how an intervention is working. It includes a well-guided project and reflection on teaching practice.

Graduate Non-Credit Sample Course of Study

Participants take one required course and any three electives. It is expected that full-time educators will complete their coursework within 12 months to earn their Certificate in STEM Education.
